Who we are
Semi Suite (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website at www.semisuite.co.uk (the “Site”) and the Semi Suite application. For the purposes of UK data protection law we are the data controller for personal data collected through the Site. You can reach us at hello@semisuite.co.uk.
This policy covers the Site only. Data that our customers put into the Semi Suite application (their customers, suppliers, quotes and orders) is processed on their behalf under the customer agreement, and their own privacy policies apply to it.
What we collect
- Demo requests.When you use the “Book a demo” form we collect your name, company, work email address and anything you write in the message box.
- Email. If you email us directly we keep the correspondence so we can reply and follow up.
- Usage statistics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand which pages are visited. It is aggregated and cookie-free: it does not identify you, and it does not track you across other sites.
- Technical logs. Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) for security and reliability. These are kept for a short period and not used to profile you.
Cookies and local storage
The Site does not set advertising or third-party tracking cookies, which is why you don't see a cookie banner. If you switch the Site to dark mode we remember that choice in your browser's local storage; it never leaves your device and you can clear it from your browser at any time.
Why we use your data, and the legal basis
- To respond to a demo request or enquiry and arrange a call. This is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and the steps needed before entering into a contract with you.
- To keep the Site secure and understand how it is used. This is our legitimate interest in running a reliable website.
- To send you follow-up information about Semi Suite after you have asked for a demo. You can ask us to stop at any time.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with the service providers that run the Site for us, and only to the extent needed:
- Vercel: hosting, server logs and cookie-free analytics.
- Resend: delivers demo-request emails to our inbox.
- Our email provider, which stores correspondence with you.
Some of these providers process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, transfers are covered by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, or another safeguard recognised under UK GDPR.
How long we keep it
Demo requests and correspondence are kept while we are in contact with you and for up to 24 months after our last exchange, unless you become a customer (in which case the customer agreement applies) or ask us to delete it sooner. Server logs are retained by our hosting provider for a short, rolling period.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- ask us to restrict or object to how we use it;
- receive it in a portable format;
- withdraw consent where we rely on it.
To exercise any of these, email hello@semisuite.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Security
The Site is served over HTTPS, and the providers we use encrypt data in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't send us anything through the demo form that you would consider highly sensitive.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if our practices change and revise the date at the top. Significant changes will be flagged on the Site.
